Ahead of Forest’s FA Cup quarter-final clash against Brighton on 29 March 2025, manager Nuno Espírito Santo confirmed that Wood had undergone a second scan to assess the extent of the damage. Speaking to the media, Nuno stated:
“He went for a scan today and we are still waiting for the result. He went to see a specialist to do the scan, so we will wait on the information. He is not going to be available for this game. He fell really hard on his hip and there is pain there, so we have to wait.” (Source: Nottingham Post)
Wood is now facing a race against time to recover, with further tests needed to determine the severity of the injury. While the full extent is still unclear, early reports suggest he could miss at least two to three weeks, making him a doubt for the Premier League fixture against Manchester United on 2 April 2025.
