Ipswich Town midfielder Kalvin Phillips (27) has been ruled out once again, with manager Kieran McKenna confirming the Manchester City loanee is struggling with a new injury near his Achilles.

Phillips was absent from the matchday squad during Ipswich’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. The setback is the latest in a series of frustrating interruptions during what has been a stop-start season for the England international.

Speaking after the match, McKenna revealed the nature of Phillips’ latest concern:
