Kalvin Phillips - foot
IIpswich Town midfielder Kalvin Phillips (27) has been ruled out once again, with manager Kieran McKenna confirming the Manchester City loanee is struggling with a new injury near his Achilles.
Phillips was absent from the matchday squad during Ipswich’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. The setback is the latest in a series of frustrating interruptions during what has been a stop-start season for the England international.
Speaking after the match, McKenna revealed the nature of Phillips’ latest concern:
"He's got an injury somewhere near his Achilles," the boss explained. "It's been an unfortunate run for him after he had the cut that he sustained in the Nottingham Forest game. We'll see how it goes." (Source: Stuart Watson, East Anglian Daily Times)
