Sam Johnstone - small injury
Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Sam Johnstone (32) is currently not training with the main squad as he continues to manage a lingering issue. According to the club, Johnstone has been working individually with fitness coaches while addressing an old injury that has persisted over time.
The coaching staff and medical team have mutually decided it's best for Johnstone to fully recover before returning to team training.
🎙️| Vitor Pereira: “Sam is not training with the team because he still has a small problem, an old problem, that he’s tried to manage,”... “But we’ve had a conversation that it is better to clean the problem and clean the injury and then come back.” (Source: Wolverhampton Wanderers)
Vitor will be speaking to the media ahead of Man United at 1.30pm 🗣️
