Injury

Kevin Danso - hamstring

13 March 2025 by Thomas Anderson

Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Kevin Danso (26) is facing a spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury during Spurs' 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on 9 March 2025. The Austrian international was forced off in the second half after pulling up while tracking back, clutching his hamstring in discomfort. (Source: Sky Sports)

Following the match, Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed the injury in a press conference on 12 March, stating:

When asked about a timeframe for Danso's recovery, the Spurs boss added:

"It's hard to say at the moment. He felt it right at the end of the game, so we'll see.
We have the international break, which helps us, and Kevin looks after himself – he's a pretty good athlete – so we'll give him every chance to get back. We'll have to let it settle down a bit before we get some clarity, but he'll be pushing." (Source: Tottenham Hotspur)

Hamstring injuries typically require two to six weeks of recovery, depending on the severity. Barring complications, Danso could return in early to mid-April 2025. However, given the physical demands of his position, Spurs may opt for a cautious approach to avoid the risk of recurrence.

🎙️| Simon Rusk : "It's touch and go [for the second leg]. They [Kulusevski and Danso] are due to start training with the team, if not tomorrow, [then] early next week. I don't think they are a possibility to start, but Kulusevski has a chance to be involved." (Source: Tottenham Hotspur)
