Jadon Sancho - ineligible to face parent club

Chelsea midfielder Jadon Sancho (25) will be ineligible to play against his parent club on 16 May due to loan agreement terms that prevent him from featuring in matches against Manchester United, the Premier League side that owns his contract.

However, since the Blues are up against the Red Devils — the club that loaned Sancho out — he won’t be able to play in this important match. It’s a common rule in domestic loan deals to prevent any conflict of interest.

Fortunately for Chelsea, the midfielder is not dealing with any injuries and is expected to return to action on 25 May.
