Roméo Lavia - undisclosed
Chelsea midfielder Roméo Lavia (21)has encountered another injury setback, continuing a series of fitness challenges that have plagued his tenure at the club. Initially sidelined due to a hamstring injury sustained during his first start for Chelsea on 18 August 2024, against Manchester City, Lavia faced a month-long recovery period.
Despite efforts to regain full fitness, Lavia's return to the pitch has been hindered by recurring issues. In early April 2025, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca provided an update, stating, "Romeo Lavia is in the process to be back with us... after the international break." However, shortly thereafter, Maresca reported that Lavia had encountered a "small problem" during training, delaying his anticipated return.
"He was doing better in terms of progress but unfortunately one or two days ago he had a small problem, so we will see in the next hours". (Source: football.london)
Update Friday 4 April 2025
Enzo Maresca: "For Sunday, Romeo is out. If you compare Romeo's games this season to last season, he has already improved. But the target with Romeo is just to try to keep him fit as much as we can and play more games next season than this season."
